Job Description

  • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services to meet the requirements of our manufacturing establishment.
  • Assess requirements to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased.
  • Negotiate offers from suppliers and consult with them to ensure the best possible deals.
  • Determine contract terms and conditions, and award contracts to appropriate parties.
  • Establish delivery schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Contact clients and suppliers to resolve any problems that may arise during the procurement process.
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and Microsoft Office applications.
