Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with clients, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers to ensure professional, ethical, and efficient communication.
- Manage all procurement and expediting processes in accordance with company and project-specific procedures.
- Supervise and develop procurement and expediting personnel to ensure optimum performance levels.
- Maintain high service levels to all groups and ensure the integrity of information within the procurement and expediting functions.
- Encourage continuous improvement through productivity monitoring and process optimization.
- Minimum 10 years of direct experience in project procurement, expediting, transport, and logistics disciplines in the mining and minerals industries.
- Excellent communication skills, written, electronic, and verbal.
- Sound knowledge of international and local procurement practices, tendering and contract laws, regulations, and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with computerized procurement and logistics systems and their operation and applications.
- Staff supervisory and development experience, analytical and problem-solving skills, high-level negotiating skills, initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work without supervision.
