We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Lead to join our Payment and Deposits Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for specialized product development of payment and deposits capabilities using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and integrate cross-functional understanding of Payments & Deposits Products, including the Strategy, defining Product Vision, Business Capability Maps, and Business Outcomes Roadmaps tied to business goals.
  2. Monitor the regulatory environment, understand emerging industry mandates, and ensure these are incorporated into Product Strategies, considering impact to business stakeholders and customers.
  3. Explore new product capabilities, develop business cases for product requests and confirm product initiative scope to be shared across impacted stakeholders.
  4. Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of techniques to probe, elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.
  5. Prioritize requirements based on inputs from Business Stakeholders & understanding of broader Roadmap priorities for business outcomes.
  6. Manage end-to-end traceability from business goals to business rules and features, epics, user stories, and test cases.
  7. Drive the team to plan and execute regular Business Stakeholder Demos for completed product increments to demonstrate progress and gather feedback; includes compiling and sharing of team performance metrics.
  8. Plan for people & process changes, coordinate with impacted stakeholders, and execute change plans (i.e., documentation, socialization, communications, training).
  9. Employ Agile, Product Owner mindset, Shift Left testing methodologies and best practices utilizing collaborative tools like Jira, JTMF, and Confluence to ensure projects progress in the right direction.
  10. Keep current on emerging trends, tools, and techniques to improve product development and delivery, including best practices from Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies.
  11. Contribute to a culture of innovation, actively seeking ways to enhance capability and performance efficiency.

Requirements

  1. Undergraduate degree required.
  2. 3+ years in Project Management, Product Owner, Testing Practices, and/or Agile delivery experience.
  3. Certifications such as PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are assets.
  4. Familiarity with regulatory reporting such as EFTR Fintrac, sanction screening, fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), compliance reporting.
  5. Understanding of deposit sub-ledger capabilities (like account management, transaction posting, multi-currency handling, interest calculations, liquidity management, controls, and reporting) to drive/ support deposits transformation, an asset.
  6. Familiarity with various accounts (Nostro, Vostro, Corporate Customer), and integration of payments services with correspondent account processing, an asset.
  7. Understanding of the interaction between payments and deposits operating models and how these serve client needs and use cases.
  8. Experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping.
  9. Ability to create and document Target Operating Models (TOMs) and define how opportunities and challenges will be delivered through these TOMs.
