Job Title: Grocery Clerk – Part-Time

Location: Country Grocer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team at Country Grocer. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Stock shelves and display areas to maintain a visually appealing store environment
  • Assist customers with product inquiries and make recommendations to drive sales
  • Record incoming stock and price items using stickers and labeling
  • Assist with bagging groceries for customers and maintain a clean and safe checkout area
  • Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Other tasks as required by immediate supervisor

Requirements:

  • Related retail experience is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to safely bend, twist, and lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to walk and stand for the duration of shift
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures
  • A high level of motivation and a proactive attitude
  • Desire to provide outstanding customer service and comply with established department procedures and safe work practices
  • A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback

Work Schedule:

  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays
