We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Maintenance Professional to join our team at CN. As a Heavy Duty Locomotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, major and minor repairs, overhauls, and servicing on all types of locomotives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain locomotives, including changing oil and repairing or replacing parts
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engine malfunctions
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating equipment and cleaning components
  • Use specialized tools and equipment, including welding gear and hydraulic systems
  • Collaborate with other technicians to achieve shared goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Diesel mechanic experience and/or diploma
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic technical knowledge of diesel mechanics
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
