About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer locations.

Your primary focus will be to ensure that all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines. You will also be expected to conduct thorough troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough electrical, mechanical, and structural inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Document all work performed, including repair history, maintenance schedules, and customer interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, fault trends, and repair data to inform future maintenance strategies.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in a field service setting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and structural principles, with proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
