Indigenous Education Cultural Liaison

Central Okanagan Public Schools (School District No. 23) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Indigenous Education Cultural Coordinator.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing education services to 22,000 students in the communities of Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna, Lake Country, and the Regional District of Central Okanagan.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement culturally responsive education programs and services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community members to promote Indigenous cultural awareness and understanding
- Provide support and resources for Indigenous students and their families
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories, as well as experience working in education and community development. A degree in a related field and/or relevant certifications are required.
