Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary
Stella-Jones Inc. is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will provide technical assistance, support, and training to our internal clients via phone, email, and remote support tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide help desk services, including call handling, logging, tracking, and problem resolution in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, and implement them.
- Install, configure, and maintain employee computers, Windows operating systems, networks, file servers, network cabling, and other related equipment and systems.
- Perform software application installation and upgrades, as well as develop and conduct training sessions for system users.
- Maintain the confidentiality of digital information disclosed during routine support.
- Participate as a resource for any department requiring technical advice.
- Provide computer orientation to new and existing company staff and stay current with new technology through training and professional development.
Requirements
- Associates degree from a technical school or college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on a technical support/help desk team.
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Experience with remote support tools and technologies.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
