We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at JM Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Develop and implement new sushi recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.
- Permanent work term and 30 hours per week.
- English language proficiency.
Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team to prepare and cook high-quality sushi dishes. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
