About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Applied Scientist to join our team at Thomson Reuters Labs. As an Applied Scientist, you will be part of a global interdisciplinary team of experts, working on cutting-edge AI research and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative AI solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research projects, and develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software components, including data pipelines, machine learning models, and natural language processing algorithms.
  • Contribute to the development of new features and products, and work with product managers to define product roadmaps.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI research and engineering, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our products and services.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, or a Master's degree with significant industry experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in AI research and engineering, with a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, or information retrieval.
  • Excellent software engineering skills, with experience in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the field of AI research and engineering.
