As a key member of the Mercana Furniture and Decor leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and shaping the company's strategic vision.

About the Role

This exceptional opportunity is ideal for an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and building high-performing teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of sales, including account management, team coaching, and development. You will work closely with executive leadership to craft a strategic vision for the division and communicate the priorities to the team.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies to support the company's overall goals and objectives;
  • Leading sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to achieve revenue targets;
  • Coaching and developing a high-performing team of account managers, sales managers, inside sales representatives, and independent sales representatives;
  • Mentoring and guiding team members to achieve their full potential;
  • Working cross-functionally with executive leadership and other department leaders on initiatives that contribute to the overall company strategy, goals, and objectives.
Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will oversee the management of Mercana's independent sales representative strategy. You will work with the Sales Manager to recruit and develop sales representatives, set goals, manage performance, and maximize sales through this channel.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Monitoring store KPIs and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement;
  • Developing business strategies for growth with key regional partners;
  • Building productive, trust-infused relationships with key accounts;
  • Developing and executing account plans to maximize sales opportunities and build long-term partnerships;
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the sales team.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field;
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales leadership or account management roles, preferably in the furniture industry or retail account management context;
  • A strong track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales team;
  • Proficiency in sales management software and CRM tools.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
