About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team in the Fund Administration group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building the next generation of software for the venture capital industry. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping new funds launch, investors track analytics and performance, and fund accountants operate the books and financial records for investment funds ranging from $100k through billions under management.

We work with some of the largest venture capital firms in the world, building software to automate managing their investments. As we continue to innovate, our goal is to forge the future of how this industry operates, and our hammer is engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop large-scale distributed systems that are configurable enough for the most complex of customers.
- Develop software to automate money movement, event-based general accounting ledgers, profit waterfalls, rule-based engines for reconciliations and allocations, workflow orchestrations, investment performance tracking, and incorporation tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Implement systems that are clear, maintainable, and correct.
- Contribute to the development of our platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our customers and stays ahead of the competition.
- Years of professional software development experience, specifically with Python.
- Strong technical skills and excellent collaboration skills.
- Ability to solve for ambiguity and implement systems that are clear, maintainable, and correct.
- Experience with accounting or investment management, customer relationship management, tax reporting, financial reporting, and financial auditing.
- Knowledge of banking and money movement, international accounting, and venture capital operations.
