Job Title: Welder Specialist

SKYDOME AUTO AND TRUCK CENTRE is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including fabricating and repairing metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
Work Environment:

Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended periods and overtime required.

Weight Handling:

Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
