Job Summary

EPCM is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines and gas welding machines
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
  • Instruct apprentices on welding techniques and best practices
Work Environment

The Welder Specialist will work in a commercial, industrial, and construction setting, with exposure to outdoors, heights, and noisy environments.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination required
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
  • Knowledge of welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
