Job Summary

Unique Machining Concepts Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines, to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Ability to operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Ability to work 32 to 35 hours per week.
Work Environment

The Welder Specialist will work in a manufacturing environment with a focus on metal fabrication and welding. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Language and Work Term

The primary language of work is English, and the work term is permanent.
