At Digital Business Systems Inc., we are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing printers and providing technical assistance to our clients. You will also be responsible for resolving issues and recommending hardware and software improvements to optimize printer functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install printers and provide technical assistance to clients
  • Resolve issues and recommend hardware and software improvements
  • Track customer issues and resolutions
  • Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in IT required, preferably knowledge on printer installation
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills; willingness to learn
  • Printer/copier and laptop/desktop experience, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience
  • Knowledge of using diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics, to assess and resolve equipment and system failures
  • Ability to maintain and complete accurate record keeping and processing of paperwork
  • We work in a team and you will have remote support, but you must be able to work independently when on customer location
  • Vehicle for printer transportation, phone, and laptop provided - must have valid driver's license. You will be required to travel.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license (we provide a vehicle)
  • Excellent people skills
  • You've got computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A College diploma or University degree would be great but are not required
  • Previous technical experience with printing and IT or a recent graduate with technical experience
  • English fluency is mandatory, and you must be eligible to work in Canada
