Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Regulatory Team. As a key member of our product development team, you will work closely with our concurrent engineering approach using an NPD process. Reporting to the Regulatory Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the certification and regulatory compliance of new products in development, as well as technical updates to existing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to certification projects from application to final certification on various certifications from multiple certification bodies (UL, ETL, Energy Star, NRCan, DOE, HVI, and others).
  • Develop and implement product certification test plans (DVP&R) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain oversight of certification activities, tests, and deliverables to ensure seamless execution.
  • Analyze and approve data and test reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote regulatory compliance across R&D teams through guidance and support.
  • Lead product testing accreditations audits, such as UL Client Test Data Program.
  • Participate in planning and prioritization meetings, documenting progress and ensuring tasks are completed according to project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or DEC in electrical, electronic, mechatronics, instrumentation engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of English and French (bilingual, 4 out of 5 orally and written).
  • Proven experience in product certification and compliance, with exceptional document drafting skills for regulatory authorities.
  • Strong interest in regulatory aspects and product safety.
  • Synthesis ability and aptitude for popularizing complex concepts.
  • Ease in sharing knowledge and developing expertise in regulatory matters.
  • Practical experience in validation and testing environments is an asset.
  • Knowledge of household appliances and ventilation products is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Proposition 65, REACH, RoHS, and ISO17025 standards is an asset.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
  • Authorized UL Signatory recognition is highly valued.
Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
