Director of Indirect Sourcing and Procurement

Job Summary:
As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the strategic sourcing plan for indirect spend categories. This will involve managing relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, as well as leading the Indirect Sourcing team to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and improve cost-effectiveness across various indirect spend categories.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and favorable terms.
- Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to determine specifications and requirements.
- Interview potential suppliers and evaluate supplier qualifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products and issue resolution.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Provide general product and services management support to internal business stakeholders.
- Implement authorization processes to ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Management, Business, Economics, Supply-Chain, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in roles related to Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, and/or Management Consulting.
- Management and leadership experience is required.
- Demonstrated successful contract and agreement negotiation experience.
- Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel for supplier presentations, site visits, and key department meetings.
