About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Price Industries Limited. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal departments to ensure that purchasing requests are fulfilled in a timely manner, and maintain effective communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate sales agreements and supply contracts to secure the best possible terms for the company.
  • Quality Control: Assess the quality of delivered goods and services, and coordinate with shippers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate vendors and their offerings through in-person visits, interviews, and analysis to assess their quality and suitability.

Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent degree, training, or certificate in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Skills and Experience: Basic understanding of corporate purchasing procedures, proficiency in corporate software applications such as FRED and Syteline, and demonstrated initiative and motivation to handle moderately complex procurement assignments.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of various functions and responsibilities of departmental divisions, practical knowledge of materials and services used throughout the corporation, and ability to work in a team environment.
