Instrumentation and Automation Engineering Intern

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Automation Engineering Intern to join our team in the Markham, ON office.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop SCADA, Control Systems, and Ethernet Network solutions.
- Develop, test, and commission PLC/SCADA applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Prepare contract documents, including drawings and specifications, I/O lists, and instrument data sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, CAD staff, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure effective project execution.
- Ensure compliance with AECOM's QA/QC programs and applicable codes and standards.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Controls, and Process Automation, with a minimum of one year of study completed.
- Availability to travel and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of process automation, instrumentation, electrical schematics, PLC platforms, communication protocols, SCADA systems, and their integration with information management systems.
- Experience with Rockwell Software Logix PLC programming and SCADA software development.
- Excellent computer skills, including AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Access.
