Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position with a bi-weekly hour requirement of 75 hours. The successful candidate will be working in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting, providing respiratory care services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing respiratory therapy services to patients with various respiratory conditions;
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans;
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient treatment;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field;
  • A Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.;
  • Immunization records and a vulnerable sector check;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
