Industrial Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial environments.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have proven experience in industrial electrical installations and maintenance, as well as knowledge in various PLC programming languages (ladder logic, function block, and structured text). You will also be familiar with HMI development and configuration, and have a strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing PLC and HMI programs to control and monitor industrial processes. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting electrical systems that contain variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starts, relays/contactors, and more.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, effective communication and collaboration skills, and a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Educational Requirements: Diploma in industrial or commercial electrical
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
