Commercial Insurance Account Manager

At Impact Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lines team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and growing commercial insurance book of business.
Working closely with our talented team of underwriters, associates, and clients, you will be servicing and marketing existing and new business accounts. This is a hybrid position based in Vaughan, ON, with a flexible work schedule that includes 3 days in the office per week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a book of business with medium to large size commercial insurance accounts
- Negotiate coverages, rates, and premiums with underwriters and clients
- Create and update new business and renewal submissions and market new and existing business
- Conduct annual renewal reviews and client meetings
- Prepare claims history assessments
- Review inspection reports and follow up on outstanding recommendations
- Conduct risk assessments of client operations and determine appropriate coverages
- Prepare risk management strategies to improve risk exposures
- Manage accounts receivable on the accounts being handled
- Work closely with claims and clients during negotiations
- Other related duties and projects as required
Requirements:
- Must have an active RIBO License
- Minimum 3 years work experience in a commercial lines insurance department
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- In the process of completing CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations
Nice-to-haves:
- Completed CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations
- Familiarity with TAM
- Working knowledge and/or understanding of construction insurance
Compensation:
- Salary range of $90,000 - $130,000 per year (based on level of experience)
