Job Summary

Ottawa Tourism is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Business Events and Major Events teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a career development in the tourism industry with exposure to multiple areas of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Managers with inputting and maintaining all accounts and opportunities through a customer relationship management system.
  • Support the Sales Managers in various areas such as data entry, bid book preparation, and site inspection coordination.
  • Conduct event and familiarization tours.
  • Support the preparation for industry events such as trade shows, client servicing.
  • Respond to member and client inquiries (written and on the phone).
  • Liaise with other departments as required.

Requirements

  • 1 year of related experience.
  • Degree or diploma in a business, hospitality, sales, or marketing-related field.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using database/CRM software, and some back-end web capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in both of Canada's official languages.
  • Experience working in tourism, hospitality, or destination management/marketing.
  • Experience group booking and/or customer relations management system.
  • Experience with event planning.
  • Experience working with members.
  • Project management background.
