Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Manager to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing the human resources function for our Vancouver-based operations, ensuring compliance with BC Employment Standards and providing strategic guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 500+ employees across BC, providing guidance on compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and relocation support.
  • Advise management on BC Employment law, mediate work-related issues at all levels, and provide accurate HR counsel to the executive team.
  • Develop short-term and long-term business strategy, ensuring adequate and effective training and development opportunities are provided to meet business needs.
  • Effectively manage employee relations issues, coordinate projects, and facilitate problem-solving and resolution.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of local experience in a unionized HR environment.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite, with occasional site visits required.
  • Must drive and have own vehicle.
  • Experience within production and manufacturing, labor relations knowledge, and understanding of BC Employment Standards.
  • Knowledge of Respect in the Workplace strategies, experience handling Bullying & Harassment investigations, and Accommodation for workplace injury.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to work with different corporate levels.
