About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Smitty's Restaurant and Lounge - Meadowood. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparers, counter attendants, and kitchen helpers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other relevant data.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee performance, training, and development.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to train and develop staff.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
