About the Role

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Insurance Consultant to provide exceptional service and support to our national and international clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch service and analytics excellence to our clients with Third Party Administration (TPA) / Third Party Payor (TPP) services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our Consultants and internal partners in managing client activity for TPA/TPP services.
  • Resolve and address escalated client issues and inquiries, coordinating with internal departments and/or carriers.
  • Provide service support to clients and members relating to the administration of their group benefit plans.
  • Determine and work towards resolution of any discrepancies found within contracts, booklets, and our processes in adherence with client wishes or policy.
  • Coordinate contract amendments for clients.
  • Proofread booklets and contracts for accuracy and ensure compliance with client requirements, legislation, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Review, prepare, and peer review analysis of regular reporting, benefit summaries, amendments, and employee presentations/communications.
  • Prepare marketing submissions, including benefit comparisons and change of carrier procedures.
  • Assist Consultant with preparation of marketing quote results for client.
  • Draft employee announcements if required related to change in carrier and deliver all relevant documents.
  • Ensure smooth transition of benefits, mitigating client risk and exposure.
  • Assist on specific projects, initiatives, and research.
  • Provide and coordinate support for Consultant as requested and in accordance with procedures and service agreements.
  • Schedule appointments, monitor email, voicemail, prepare letters, spreadsheets, maintain filing, and perform other administrative duties as required.
  • Maintain accurate and current records for all clients within EPIC.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience in a similar role.
  • Completed post-secondary degree or a combination of equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong prioritization skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, ethics, and integrity.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and create suitable plans for resolution.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Team player who recognizes the benefits of collaboration with fellow team members.
  • Knowledge of EPIC (CRM tool) is an asset.
