Bilingual Insurance Consultant

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Insurance Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our national and international clients with Third Party Administration (TPA) / Third Party Payor (TPP) services.
Key Responsibilities- Support our consultants and internal partners in managing ongoing activities for clients with TPA/TPP services.
- Resolve and address escalated client issues and inquiries, coordinating with internal departments and/or carriers.
- Provide service support to clients and members relating to the administration of their group benefit plans.
- Determine and work towards resolution of any discrepancies found within contracts, booklets, and our processes in adherence with the client's wishes or with policy.
- Coordinate contract amendments for clients.
- Proofread booklets and contracts for accuracy and ensure compliance with client's requirements, legislation, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Review, prepare, and peer-review analysis of regular reporting, benefit summaries, amendments, and employee presentations/communications.
- Prepare marketing submissions, including benefit comparisons and change of carrier procedures.
- Assist consultants with preparation of marketing quote results for clients.
- Draft employee announcements if required related to change in carrier and deliver all relevant documents.
- Ensure the smooth transition of benefits, ensuring any client risk and exposure is mitigated.
- Assist on specific projects, initiatives, and research.
- Provide and coordinate support for consultants as requested and in accordance with procedures and service agreements;
- Schedule appointments, monitor email, voicemail, prepare letters, spreadsheets, maintain filing, and perform other administrative duties as required;
- Maintain accurate and current records for all clients within EPIC.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, a requirement.
- 3 years plus of professional work experience in a similar role.
- Completed post-secondary degree or a combination of equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong prioritization skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, ethics, and integrity.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and create suitable plans for resolution.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organized, and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Team player who recognizes the benefits of collaboration with fellow team members.
- Knowledge of EPIC, (CRM tool), an asset.
