About Mark's Restaurant

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages
    • Operate dishwashers and washing machines to maintain high standards of cleanliness
    • Sanitize and wash dishes, utensils, and equipment
    • Package and prepare take-out food
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
    • Sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
    • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
