About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oncology Physician Specialist to join our dynamic team at Humber River Health.

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated physician to work with our multidisciplinary team, delivering exceptional care to patients with cancer and suspected oncological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and consultations for patients with cancer or suspected oncological issues within our Cancer Care Program
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination in the delivery of comprehensive oncology and palliative care services
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans, considering patient history, test results, and the stage of cancer
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and supportive care tailored for individual patient needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and caregivers, explaining treatment options, prognosis, and potential side effects
  • Provide ongoing support, counseling, and guidance to patients and their families during the cancer and palliative care journey
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Requirements
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certification from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada
  • Member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario and valid OHIP billing number
About the Opportunity

The estimated salary range for this role is $350,000 - $420,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
