About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at Jai Homes Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and completing documentation packages and drawing sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize and communicate design concepts
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure project feasibility
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and ensure design meets specifications
  • Operate CAD software and other computer systems to create and edit designs
Requirements
  • College diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in drafting or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to work independently
  • Team player with a positive attitude
