About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team at Jai Homes Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize and communicate design concepts
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to facilitate project execution
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and ensure design meets specifications
  • Operate CAD software and other computer systems to support design and drafting activities
Requirements
  • College diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field, such as engineering technology or architecture
  • 1-2 years of experience in drafting and design
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in CAD software and other computer systems
