Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analysis Specialist to join our team at Amico Affiliates Inc. in Ontario. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in supporting business decisions with detailed financial analysis and providing strategic planning guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business performance and support strategic planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports to senior management.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Budgeting Process: Assist the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with Amico's goals.
  • Financial Forecasting: Monitor and update financial forecasts, identifying key trends and variances.
  • Departmental Support: Work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on financial matters.
  • Strategic Projects: Participate in strategic projects and initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and advise management with mitigation plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience: In financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree: In accounting, finance, economics, or a related field (asset).
  • Technical skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required.
  • Communication skills: Superior written, oral, and analytical skills in complex situations.
  • Reporting skills: Ability to produce managerial and financial reports for upper management.
  • Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills: In-depth knowledge of advanced Excel and financial modeling skillset.
  • Accounting laws and regulations: Knowledge of current accounting laws and regulations in Ontario.
