About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Coordinator to join our Integrated Operations Planning Team in Sudbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for six buildings of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and facilitate contracts for building support services, ensuring vendors act in a responsible and safe manner, comply with contractual obligations, and Vale's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure building support services are operating safely, effectively, and efficiently, while providing regular reviews for continual improvement to cost, quality, service, and delivery.
  • Provide construction coordination for Capital and Operating projects, including coordinating with contractors, monitoring work approvals, site access, quality, efficiency, qualifications, and safety.
  • Review, validate, and approve Contractor Time Sheets and sign off on Contractor Invoices to ensure the proper contract/contractor is utilized before scheduling a contractor to perform work.
  • Focal-point for vendor coordination and purchasing of materials and services for Office Facilities, maintaining and replenishing inventory of office supplies and printer for the building.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Business, Building Maintenance, or related field.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 18-24 months of building maintenance experience.
  • General knowledge of technical aspects of running a building (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) to access work proposals.
