About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Inspector to join our BGIS team. As a key member of our SCS Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of duties and ensuring all aspects of client contracts are being fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities by cleaners and subcontractors to ensure high-quality service to clients.
- Maintain operational continuity at job sites and respond to day-time emergencies promptly.
- Monitor and report any safety or security issues to the Operations department.
- Perform internal audits, prepare reports of findings, and maintain records of corrective actions.
- Inspect facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Coordinate and review field quality inspections to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness standards.
- Implement action plans and follow up on deficiencies to resolve facility issues efficiently.
- Ensure subcontractors and cleaners comply with relevant legislation, standard criteria, and corporate policies.
- Train cleaners and subcontractors in performing duties and maintaining equipment.
- Maintain work schedules according to client needs and monitor absences and turnover.
- Protect company and client assets from misuse and damage.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of applicable experience in a cleaning or service-related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional approachable manner with a "can-do" attitude.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and own vehicle.
- Familiarity with janitorial and battery-operated equipment.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and talking or hearing.
- Required use of hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a client site setting with moderate noise levels.
