Job Title: Chair, Education Programs
Job Summary:
The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Chair, Education Programs. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in education and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, direction, and management of the Nunavut Teacher Education Program (NTEP) and Early Childhood Education Programs (ECE)
- Work closely with the Dean, Education, Inuit and University Studies to develop and implement education programs
- Supervise and manage a team of staff, including program coordinators and instructors
- Develop and manage budgets for education programs
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with government priorities
- Provide leadership and direction to the Education Programs team to achieve program goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Education or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education program management
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience
- Strong knowledge of education policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
This is a highly sensitive position that requires a satisfactory criminal record check and a clear vulnerable sector check.
Language Requirements:
The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages would be considered an asset.
Priority Hiring:
