Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Inuksuk Infant Development Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and educational outings.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports on children's progress.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other Early Childhood Educators and assistants.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, and values and ethics.
Experience:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent position with 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
