Job Summary:

The Government of Canada - Central is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing our business operations, ensuring the successful implementation of our organizational policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Allocate resources, authorize department establishment, and coordinate work across regions, divisions, or departments.
  • Strategic Planning: Establish objectives, formulate policies, and approve programs to drive business growth and success.
  • Representation and Negotiation: Represent the organization in negotiations and official functions, delegating representatives as needed.
  • Talent Management: Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, creating optimal working conditions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a senior management role.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and a large workload.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, organization, team player, and initiative.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires on-site work. The successful candidate will be required to work at our physical location.
