Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced fundraising professional to join our team as Director of Philanthropy, Alberta. As a key member of our Philanthropy Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a regional strategy to cultivate relationships with major donors, businesses, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of major donors, including individuals, businesses, and private foundations.
- Collaborate with the VP of Philanthropy to identify and qualify new, prospective donors and develop a regional strategy to cultivate relationships.
- Build and maintain authentic and meaningful relationships with donors, resulting in growth of revenue.
- Work closely with the Philanthropy Team to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and values.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fundraising.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, minimum.
- CFRE designation, an asset.
- 3-5 years of successful not-for-profit fundraising experience.
- Proven track record of raising major gifts greater than $10,000 from private donors.
- Highly organized with a high degree of technological proficiency, including experience with fundraising systems.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings, as well as travel nationally and internationally as needed.

- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and goals.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to travel to meet with potential donors and attend fundraising events.

$90,000 – $100,000
