The Government of Alberta is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the Provincial Archives of Alberta. As a key member of the Arts, Culture and Status of Women ministry, you will play a critical role in preserving and promoting Alberta's cultural heritage.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Provincial Archives' staff team
- Ensure the effective acquisition, preservation, and accessibility of Alberta's documentary heritage
- Develop and implement innovative marketing and communication initiatives to promote the Provincial Archives and its collections
- Manage the branch's financial accountabilities and ensure viable business operations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to advance the public profile of the Provincial Archives and build support for its mission
- Master's degree in a related field
- Extensive senior leadership experience in archives management
- Credibility in the archives community and knowledge of Alberta's documentary heritage
- Exceptional communication and program management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
