The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is a government agency responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis in the province. Our mission is to provide excellent service to our customers while ensuring the safe and responsible sale of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at the Richmond Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the smooth functioning of cannabis-related inbound and outbound transportation activities, including coordination with carriers and vendors, calculation and substantiation of freight invoices, and planning and scheduling appointments for inbound and outbound transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
  • Calculate and substantiate freight invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Plan and schedule appointments for inbound and outbound transportation to meet business needs
  • Extract and compile various spreadsheets for management reporting
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Minimum 6 months of recent, related experience within an office environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience within a large-scale distribution warehouse
  • Experience operating mobile warehouse machinery such as order pickers or high reach equipment
Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the supply chain or distribution industry, e-commerce, or the cannabis industry.
