Job Summary

Rhenus Logistics Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Junior Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing third-party logistics providers, negotiating rates with carriers, and ensuring seamless tracking of shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with agents and clients to ensure smooth information exchange
Enter and send pre-alerts to keep customers and agents informed about shipment departures
Prepare, manage, and send status reports to clients
Negotiate rates with carriers to secure competitive deals
Track shipments with airlines, agents, and truckers for real-time updates
Accurately fill in and issue airway bills, bills of lading, and other documents
Update clients and agents on the status of their shipments regularly
Arrange pick-ups from shippers in an organized and timely manner
Issue invoices accurately and on time
Handle intents to claim when needed, following established procedures
Manage pending charges and financial transactions carefully
Approve payables following established financial processes
Work with agents and carriers to update and reconcile costs efficiently
Send out profit share requests on time
Dispatch and follow up on Proof of Deliveries (POD's)
Close files accurately and on time
Maintain the Client status report and update it regularly
Effectively solve problems as they arise

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management
CITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered assets
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Experience managing third-party logistics providers
Ability to interpret complex instructions
Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
Effective multitasking and organizational abilities
Friendly, helpful attitude with a willingness to support
Demonstrates honesty, trustworthiness, and respect
Sound work ethics in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and financial awareness
