Overview:

Lifemark's Disability Management Services department is seeking a skilled Senior Disability Case Manager to join their team. This is a remote-based position, and candidates must reside in BC.

This role involves working closely with employees, employers, union representatives, and medical professionals to develop effective disability case management strategies. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Role:

The Senior Disability Case Manager will be responsible for assessing situations and issues related to disabilities, planning and implementing effective case management strategies, and reviewing accommodation requests. They will also communicate with stakeholders verbally and in writing, providing expert advice on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing disability situations and developing effective case management plans
  • Communicating with stakeholders, including employees, employers, union representatives, and medical professionals
  • Reviewing accommodation requests and implementing successful return-to-work plans
  • Providing expert advice on disability management strategies

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional designation in a health-related discipline (e.g., Kinesiology) and a certificate or higher in Disability Case Management or similar
  • Related professional designations (e.g., CDMP, RTWDM) are strongly preferred
  • Superior communication and listening skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to make tough decisions within tight time constraints

$62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience.
