Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on our equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Conduct advanced diagnostics to identify and resolve complex equipment issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective equipment operation
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or equivalent training desired
- Previous experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment strongly preferred
- Valid Red Seal certification an asset
- Minimum Level 2 Apprentice or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
