Medical Device Reprocessing Technician 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician 2 to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for reprocessing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for use in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reprocess and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for use in patient care
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and dry heat sterilizers
- Inspect and test instruments and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterilized instruments and equipment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize sterilization processes and improve patient safety
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician or equivalent
- Knowledge of sterilization principles and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
