Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of recreation-based programs, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for participants.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and school personnel to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, procedures, and standards, including health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to develop and deliver programs that meet the needs of diverse populations.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as recreation and leisure, child and youth, or social work.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children and youth in a group setting, preferably in a recreation or childcare environment.
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
