About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at By The Lake Dental Inc. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed.
    • Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including taking X-rays, mixing materials, and sterilizing instruments.
  • Office Administration
    • Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and scheduling appointments.
    • Process insurance claims and handle billing and payment procedures.
  • Supply Management
    • Order and maintain dental and office supplies, ensuring that the practice is well-stocked and equipped.
  • Education and Training
    • Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure that all dental equipment is properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) is required.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months of experience in a dental setting is preferred.
  • Education
    • Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience is required.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English is required.
