About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at By The Lake Dental Inc. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations by explaining procedures, taking medical histories, and obtaining necessary information.
    • Ensure all necessary equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Instrumentation and Supply Management
    • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, including sterilization and storage.
    • Order and manage dental and office supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Front Office and Administrative Duties
    • Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient information.
    • Record dental procedures performed on patients and maintain accurate records.
    • Invoice patients for dental services and manage payment processing.
  • Patient Education and Support
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
    • Polish teeth and clinical crowns, and apply fluoride and sealant as needed.
  • Certifications and Compliance
    • Ensure all necessary certifications and licenses are up-to-date and maintained.
    • Comply with all relevant regulations and standards for dental practices.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a dental setting.
  • Certifications
    • Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board.
