Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Health Equity, Safety & Wellness portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIRA) within our organization.
About the Role: As the Director of Health Equity, Safety & Wellness, you will be responsible for leading a team to develop and implement EDIRA strategies, policies, and programs that promote a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address systemic biases and barriers, and develop culturally appropriate policies and programs to support the needs of diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EDIRA strategies, policies, and programs to promote a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees.
- Lead a team to develop and implement culturally appropriate policies and programs to support the needs of diverse populations.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address systemic biases and barriers.
- Develop and implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of EDIRA strategies and programs.
- Collaborate with other directors and leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in health care or related sector, with a focus on workplace health, safety & wellness, EDIRA or related fields.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a health discipline, health administration or related field of study.
- Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
- Hands-on experience in informal or formal leadership roles in a complex multi-union environment or unionized health care sector experience.
- Proven experience successfully leading organizational and culture change, ideally related to EDIRA, healthy, respectful and welcoming workplaces or related areas.
