Director of Equity and Community Supports

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Equity and Community Supports. This is a critical role that will play a key part in advancing our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
About the RoleThe Director of Equity and Community Supports will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion across the university. This will involve working closely with faculty, staff, and students to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of our community.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as experience in developing and implementing policies and programs to promote these values. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion across the university
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of our community
- Develop and implement policies and programs to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and students on equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Collaborate with other departments and units to advance our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, social work, or a related field. They will also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior role, with a strong track record of advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as experience in developing and implementing policies and programs to promote these values.
